Environmental Services Week took place from September 8-14 this year and recognizes the hard work of the EVS staff who keep healthcare facilities clean and safe. Environmental services is a term used exclusively in healthcare to acknowledge how highly trained staff clean and disinfect medical equipment, patient rooms, and other common areas within healthcare facilities. Their knowledge and skill not only keep medical facilities running smoothly, but they help support positive patient outcomes. EVS staff are the frontline defense against serious infections, and their discipline and dedication keep patients and medical personnel safe and healthy. #EVSWeek #everyage #environmentalservices
Last Sunday afternoon, we hosted a Celebration of Life to honor and remember the residents and staff who had passed away during the previous year. Along with the service, we featured a butterfly release to remind us of transformation, resurrection, and new life. As you can see, it was a beautiful, sunny day and a meaningful time to come together and pay tribute to the people who we loved and who had loved us as well.
